JAKARTA //. TNI Commander General TNI Agus Subiyanto led the 79th Anniversary Ceremony of the Indonesian Navy with the theme “With the Spirit of Jalesveva Jayamahe, the Indonesian Navy is Ready to Realize a New Archipelago, Advanced Indonesia” which was held on the Helicopter Deck of KRI dr. Radjiman Wedyodiningrat-992 which sailed in Jakarta Bay, Tuesday (10/9/2024).
In his message, the TNI Commander appreciated and gave the highest award to all Indonesian Navy soldiers for their professionalism, dedication, and militancy in carrying out every task. The Indonesian people and nation are proud to have a professional and modern Navy, as the guardian of the nation’s sovereignty and the integrity of the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as the protector of the Indonesian nation from all threats and disturbances, especially in Indonesian sea areas.
The TNI Commander said that the Indonesian Navy as a symbol of the glory of national maritime power should be able to be adaptive to all developments in the strategic environment including the technology that accompanies it for the sake of the integrity, unity and integrity of the nation. “In facing an increasingly broad spectrum of threats, defense transformation must continue to be continued to lay the foundation for the formation of modern defense capabilities that have quality human resources and are relevant to the latest military technology developments,” said the TNI Commander.
After the ceremony was over, various demonstrations were presented by Indonesian Navy soldiers including air attractions from the Rajawali Laut Flight (RaLF) Puspenerbal Team, as well as Flying Passes from the Indonesian Navy’s Helicopter and Aircraft elements. In addition, 33 KRI were also deployed to carry out the Sailing Pass, starting from the Multi Role Light Frigate (MLRF) type Warship, PKR, SIGMA, the Legendary Sailing Ship KRI Dewa Ruci, Combat Boats and KRI Landing Platform Dock (LPD) class.
Also attending the event were the Chief of Police General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral TNI Muhammad Ali, Chief of Army Staff General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak, Chief of Air Force Marshal TNI Mohammad Tony Harjono, Chiefs of Naval Staff from time to time, the Main Officials of the TNI Headquarters, as well as the Main Officials of the Naval Headquarters, and other invitees.
